SAT/ACT Test Prep

Curriculum

This SAT/ACT Test Prep Course provides accountability and assessment practices of a high school course of study. The fall semester will focus on the math portion of the test; the spring semester will focus on the verbal portion of the test. Both semesters will include both instruction and practice time.

Students will learn to recognize and respond to the different problem types on the SAT and ACT. Students will use Khan Academy for weekly required practice of material taught during class time and track their progress by completing a digital pretest, mid-course test, and post-test from the College Board BlueBook app (which requires students to establish a personal College Board account). In addition, students will work in groups of 2-3 with the teacher to address content-specific areas of concentration to strengthen individual test performance. To accomplish this, the student, parent and teacher will establish an individualized plan based on each student's needs.
